Fleshmarket Alley: An Inspector Rebus Novel (Inspector Rebus Mysteries)

Fleshmarket Alley: An Inspector Rebus Novel (Inspector Rebus Mysteries) - Ian Rankin Fleshmarket Alley itself and the (apparent) bones of a woman and child found in the dug-up concrete floor are actually a bit of a red herring in this tale of the trafficking and exploitation of immigrants in modern-day Edinburgh. Rankin creates a fairly compelling new character in Storey, a black immigration officer who accepts just a little too readily the information that's being fed to him by a source who is revealed at the end. A good, fast read.
