Katarina Witt: Meine Jahre zwischen Pflicht und Kür

Katarina Witt: Meine Jahre zwischen Pflicht und Kür - Katarina Witt In German. Photos are all from childhood or amateur days; jacket blurb appears to suggest that this is Katarina's response to accusations that she was favoured by the communist East German regime and perhaps complicit with Stasi (their infamous secret service), as well as her response to seeing her own extensive file. "I wrote this book so you can become acquainted with the real Katarina Witt" (my rough translation from foreword). Subtitle means "my years between duty and [free:] skating"; "pflicht" also means "compulsory exercise", so there's probably a bit of a skating pun too.

My German not being up to the task, I have not read this book, but would like to dip further into the chapters where she is clearly quoting from the Stasi file on herself.
